Returns & Cancellations Policy
This policy explains how Elite Care Pharmacy handles prescription cancellations, medication returns, refunds, claim adjustments, and delivery issues.
Prescription safety
Dispensed prescription medications generally cannot be returned, exchanged, reused, or resold once they have left the pharmacy's control.
This protects patient safety because the pharmacy cannot verify the storage, handling, temperature, contamination risk, or integrity of a medication after it leaves pharmacy control.
Cancellations before dispensing or delivery
If you need to cancel a prescription request, refill, transfer, or delivery request, call the pharmacy as soon as possible at 281.547.8055.
A request may be cancelled if the pharmacy has not yet completed dispensing, released the medication, delivered it, or otherwise taken steps that cannot reasonably be reversed. If an insurance claim has already been submitted, the pharmacy will review whether a claim reversal or adjustment is appropriate.
After a prescription is dispensed
Once a prescription medication has been dispensed and has left the pharmacy's control, it generally cannot be returned for reuse, resale, exchange, or refund. This includes prescriptions picked up in person and prescriptions delivered to a patient or authorized recipient.
If you have a concern about a dispensed prescription, call the pharmacy promptly. The pharmacy will review the concern and determine the appropriate next step based on patient safety, pharmacy records, payer rules, and applicable law.
Incorrect, damaged, missing, or recalled items
If you believe you received an incorrect item, a damaged item, a missing item, or an item affected by a recall, call the pharmacy promptly at 281.547.8055. Do not submit prescription numbers, dates of birth, insurance details, or health information through this website.
The pharmacy will review the situation and may correct the issue, replace an item, coordinate with the prescriber or payer, reverse or adjust a claim, issue a refund, or provide other instructions when appropriate.
Non-prescription items purchased in-store
If Elite Care Pharmacy sells a non-prescription item in-store, an unopened, unused, unexpired item with intact packaging and proof of purchase may be eligible for return within 14 days of purchase. The pharmacy may decline a return when product integrity, patient safety, storage, recall status, or applicable law prevents return.
Call the pharmacy before bringing in a non-prescription item for return so a team member can confirm whether it may be eligible.
Refunds and insurance adjustments
Approved refunds are generally issued to the original payment method when possible. Timing depends on the payment method, pharmacy processing, payer processing, and financial institution processing.
If an insurance claim, copay, deductible, coupon, discount card, or cash-pay amount needs to be reviewed, the pharmacy will determine whether a claim reversal, rebill, refund, or other adjustment is appropriate.
Delivery issues
For a failed, delayed, damaged, missing, or incorrect delivery, call the pharmacy promptly. Delivery availability and remedies depend on the medication, delivery status, patient location, pharmacist review, and applicable law. For more information, see our Delivery Policy.
